FAQs
-
The idea to buy a new playground equipment started several years ago when we had to remove our old playground due to safety issues. Since then, we’ve always wanted to provide a new play space for the kids, but the opportunity to purchase used equipment didn’t come up until recently.
-
At True Light Christian School, we focus on the holistic development of each child—spiritually, emotionally, intellectually, and physically. Having a playground provides a much-needed space for children to engage in physical play, improving their gross motor skills, cardiovascular health, and ability to resolve conflicts. Best of all, it’s a place for our students to have fun!
-
We aim to have the playground ready for use before the end of the school year on May 23.
-
The new playground will include traditional swings, slides, tunnels, a rock wall, and features that are appropriate for preschoolers as well. It is designed to cater to children of various ages, promoting inclusive play for all grade levels.
-
The funds will cover the cost of purchasing the equipment ($9,000) and its transportation ($1,100) from Blaine, Minnesota. Additionally, they will be used for the concrete sidewalk perimeter, footings, and a safe base layer under the equipment. Some of the funds will also go toward signage, donor recognition, and any necessary fencing to meet state preschool regulations.
